A Rememberance from Istanbul
I'm writing this entry because of an event which influenced me in such a different way. This summer, me and my grandfather went to the Dolmabahçe Palace. I had seen there but we think it will be better if we go together. Shortly, we went there. We wandered around it we went inside with the counselor. We saw a chandeliar which has 4,5 tone crytals on it. There were lots of antiques, portraits, magnificient sofas, decorations, wallpapers and other stuff! Our counselor told us that Abdülmecit the First let this magnificient building to be built. Palace was built with such a grief that the palace is landed on 250.000 meter square area.
We continued discovering. Then time to go has come and we left there. While we were walking suddenly we heard a sound like explosion. It was so loud that we thought it was a earthquake. obviously it wasn't. It was a flashbang. The attackers started to fire guns and make the security guards shocked. A conflict was begun between police and bombers.
Gun noises was getting lighter and rapid so we decided to wait in a safe place until the conflict will be ceased. Then we fleed...
It will be an unforgettable remembrance for us and I wish nobody will feel the senses we felt when the bomb exploded. Later, we learnt that it was a assault by terrorists who was trying to engage in conflict...
